Type specimens:

  • Diplacodon elatus: YPM 11180, a skull
  • Diplacodon progressum: Its type locality is Skull Pass Quarry, which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Uinta Formation of Utah.
  • Eotitanotherium osborni: CM 2858, a partial skeleton (front of skull, lower jaws, portion of pelvis, atlas, portion of axis, fragments of scapula and foot-bones). Its type locality is Myton (Upper Uinta B), which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Uinta Formation of Utah.
