Type specimen: USNM 21097, a partial skull (Greater part of left side of skull and left ramus of mandible). Its type locality is Dry Creek, which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Wagon Bed ("Tepee Trail") Formation of Wyoming.

Distribution:

• Eocene of United States (2: Utah, Wyoming collections)
