Type specimen: AMNH 12886, a partial skeleton (skull, lower jaws, and partial postcranial skeleton). Its type locality is Monroe Creek (AMNH Rosebud 12), which is in a Monroecreekian terrestrial horizon in the Monroe Creek Formation of South Dakota.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore-omnivore

• Arikareean of United States (1: South Dakota)

• Oligocene of United States (2: South Dakota)

Total: 8 collections each including a single occurrence
