Sister taxon: Ekgmowechashala zancanellai

Type specimen: SDSM 5550, a mandible (fragment of left mandible with P3-M2 and partial alveoli for P2 and M3). Its type locality is Sharps (SDSM V-541), which is in a Geringian terrestrial horizon in the Sharps Formation of South Dakota.

Ecology: arboreal omnivore

Distribution:

• Oligocene of United States (10: Nebraska, South Dakota collections)

Total: 10 collections each including a single occurrence
