Type specimen: AMNH 14406, a tooth (isolated left upper molar). Its type locality is Crooked Creek, which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial horizon in the Hell Creek Formation of Montana.

Ecology: aquatic durophage

Distribution: found only at Crooked Creek
