Type specimen: CIT 845, a mandible (a fragment of the left ramus of the mandible with p4, M1 and m2 and with the alveoli for p2, p3 and m3). Its type locality is Tecuya Canyon, which is in an Arikareean terrestrial horizon in the Tecuya Formation of California.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore-omnivore

Distribution: found only at Tecuya Canyon
