  • Desmocyon thomsoni: Its type locality is AMNH Rosebud 24, which is in a Harrisonian terrestrial horizon in the Rosebud Formation of South Dakota
  • Nothocyon regulus: Its type locality is Syndyoceras Quarry, which is in a Harrisonian terrestrial horizon in the Harrison Formation of Nebraska.

• Miocene of United States (9: California, Nebraska, New Mexico collections)

• Harrisonian of United States (23: Nebraska, Oregon, South Dakota, Wyoming)

• Arikareean of United States (1: Wyoming)
