Type specimen: U. S. Nat. Mus. 13760, a partial skull (cranial portion of skull). Its type locality is Ceratomeryx type locality, which is in a Blancan terrestrial horizon in the Glenns Ferry Formation of Idaho.

Ecology: ground dwelling browser-grazer

Distribution: found only at Ceratomeryx type locality
