Type specimen: U.M.V.P. 1494, a maxilla (right maxilla with complete palate, M1, roots of P4, and alveoli of P3 and M2). Its type locality is Bug Creek Anthills, which is in a Puercan terrestrial horizon in the Hell Creek Formation of Montana.

• Paleocene of Canada (2: Saskatchewan collections), United States (6: Montana, Wyoming)

• Cretaceous of United States (1: Montana)
