Type specimen: UCMP 26648, a partial skeleton (skull and large part of skeleton of an adult individual). Its type locality is El Tajo UCMP V2501, which is in a Pleistocene fissure fill breccia in Mexico.

Ecology: ground dwelling browser-grazer

Distribution: found only at El Tajo UCMP V2501
