Type specimen: PU 12057, a mandible (right ramus of the lower jaw with p1-m3 and alveoli of i1-c.). Its type locality is Princeton Loc. 1000C, which is in a Barstovian terrestrial horizon in the Olcott Formation of Nebraska.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution:

• Miocene of United States (14: Nebraska, New Mexico collections)
