Sister taxa: Aphronorus bearspawensis, Aphronorus fraudator, Aphronorus ratatoski, Aphronorus simpsoni

Type specimen: USNM 23680, a tooth (right [lower] P4). Its type locality is Little Muddy Creek (Fossil Basin), which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Evanston Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: scansorial insectivore

Distribution:

• Paleocene of United States (8: Montana, Wyoming collections)

Total: 8 collections each including a single occurrence
