Type specimen: Amer. Mus. No. 33894, a mandible (left lower jaw with P4-M1 and alveoli). Its type locality is Scarritt Quarry, which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial horizon in the Melville Formation of Montana.
Distribution: found only at Scarritt Quarry
