Sister taxa: none

Type specimen: FC-DPV 2570, a skull (almost complete cranium with incisors and both right and left P1-M3 series preserved). Its type locality is Puerto Arazatí (Camacho Fm), which is in a Miocene terrestrial claystone in the Camacho Formation of Uruguay.

Ecology: scansorial herbivore

Distribution: found only at Puerto Arazatí (Camacho Fm)
