Type specimen: IRSNB M2325, a partial skeleton (comprising a fragmentary basicranium, both tympanoperiotics, the right auditory ossicles, both mandibles, parts of the hyoid apparatus, the right forelimb, all ). Its type locality is Kieldrecht Lock, which is in a Piacenzian marine sandstone in the Lillo Formation of the Netherlands.
