Type specimen: BSP 1912 VIII 46, an other (fin spine). Its type locality is Gebel el Dist Sockel, bed 7n, which is in a Cenomanian marginal marine claystone in the Bahariya Formation of Egypt.

• Cretaceous of Egypt (9 collections), Niger (4), Sudan (1)
