Type specimen: CAPPA/UFSM 0009, a skeleton (An almost complete and partially articulated skeleton (lacking only part of the left shoulder girdle and part of the left forelimb).). Its type locality is Marchezan, São João do Polêsine, which is in a Tuvalian lacustrine delta plain mudstone in the Santa Maria Formation of Brazil.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Marchezan, São João do Polêsine
