Type specimen: DMNH 131100, a shell (near-complete carapace). Its type locality is Big Turtle Cove locality, which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial sandstone in the Hell Creek Formation of North Dakota.

Ecology: aquatic piscivore-carnivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of United States (10: Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming collections)

Total: 10 collections each including a single occurrence
