Type specimen: UALVP 52360, a tooth. Its type locality is Jamestown Limestone Quarry, Pit III, which is in a Ypresian marine limestone in the Fishburne Formation of South Carolina.

Distribution: found only at Jamestown Limestone Quarry, Pit III
