Belongs to Phaenodesmia according to Bittner 1904
Sister taxa: Phaenodesmia areolata, Phaenodesmia klipsteiniana, Phaenodesmia peruana, Phaenodesmia similis
Type specimen: Its type locality is St. Cassian (K.K. Geol Reichsanstalt coll), which is in a Julian carbonate limestone in the Cassian Formation of Italy.
Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal deposit feeder
Distribution:
• Triassic of Italy (2 collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
