Type specimen: CAS 4252. Its type locality is CAS loc.1430, Johnson's ranch, midway between Rosario and Santa Catarina Landing, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian marine horizon in the Rosario Formation of Mexico.

Ecology: slow-moving shallow infaunal deposit feeder
