Sister taxa: Cristomylus bulldogensis, Cristomylus leptostemma, Cristomylus nelsoni
Type specimen: MNA V9683, a tooth. Its type locality is Wahweap Formation, MNA 456-1, which is in a Campanian terrestrial horizon in the Wahweap Formation of Utah.
Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore
