Sister taxon: Macromerium schwarzenbergii
Type specimen: CGH (unnumbered), a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Nyrany, which is in a Westphalian D lacustrine coal in the Kladno Formation of the Czech Republic.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Nyrany
