Type specimen: NRM P.4848, a partial skeleton (Anterior one-third of a large specimen split into part and counterpart). Its type locality is Heiligenstock Quarry, which is in a Givetian/Frasnian marine limestone/shale in the Oberer Plattenkalk Formation of Germany.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Heiligenstock Quarry
