Type specimen: Its type locality is Yellowstone River, 150 miles above mouth, which is in a Maastrichtian marine shale in the Pierre Shale Formation of Montana

Ecology: slow-moving shallow infaunal deposit feeder-detritivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of United States (6: Arkansas, Mississippi, Montana, Utah, Wyoming collections)

Total: 6 collections each including a single occurrence
