Belongs to Sunwapta according to K. S. Thomson 1967
Sister taxa: Chirodipterus australis, Chirodipterus liangcheni, Chirodipterus onawayensis, Chirodipterus potteri, Chirodipterus rhenanus, Chirodipterus wildungensis
Type specimen: UAGM477, a mandible (symphysis and the anterior portions of the rami of the lower jaws). Its type locality is Sunwapta-type locality, which is in a Devonian marine horizon in Canada.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Sunwapta-type locality
