Type specimen: MNHN.F.RZ 380, a skull. Its type locality is Rouzilhac, which is in a Ypresian/Lutetian coarse channel fill sandstone/siltstone in the Molasse de Carcassonne Formation of France.

Ecology: aquatic herbivore-omnivore

Distribution: found only at Rouzilhac
