Reptilia - Testudines - Pantrionychidae
Etymology. In reference to the Gettysphere, a circle of positive energy that surrounded Mike Getty, finder of the type specimen and recently deceased paleontologist, preparator, friend, and human being extraordinaire. Though figurative, the Gettysphere was a place, and the species epithet is therefore formed with the ending -ensis.
