Type specimen: SGO.PV.6509, a partial skeleton (Fragmentary skull preserved in several blocks, including part of the maxillae and the premaxillar, frontal, prefrontals, part of the postorbitofrontals, part of). Its type locality is Seymour Island, which is in a Maastrichtian platform/shelf-margin reef shale in the Lopez de Bertodano Formation of Antarctica.
