Type specimen: PIMUZ T 3615, a skeleton (A complete skeleton of a subadult prepared by air abrasive). Its type locality is Neusticosaurus peyeri-type locality, which is in a Ladinian carbonate limestone in the Lower Meride Limestone Formation of Switzerland.
