Type specimen: MNHN.F.COI1, a partial skull. Its type locality is Skiff Bank, which is in a Miocene/Holocene basinal (siliceous) horizon in French Southern Territories.

Ecology: aquatic piscivore-carnivore

Distribution: found only at Skiff Bank
