Type specimen: MO-1, a partial skull ((premaxilla, maxilla, vomer, pterygoid, frontal, parie- tal, interparietal, alisphenoid, squamosal and supraoccipital), including the right periotic, right tymp). Its type locality is Montañita/Olón, which is in a Chattian coastal sandstone in the Dos Bocas Formation of Ecuador.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Montañita/Olón
