Type specimen: MLP 77-V-12-1, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Cosquin River, which is in a Montehermosan/Chapadmalalan terrestrial horizon in the Casa Grande Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: amphibious piscivore

Distribution: found only at Cosquin River
