Type specimen: MNHN ORA388, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Raz-el-Ain, which is in a Messinian marine horizon in the Raz-el-Ain Formation of Algeria.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Raz-el-Ain
