Sister taxon: Myrmecoboides montanensis
Type specimen: YPM-PU 21301, a mandible (Left dentary with m1-3 ). Its type locality is Cedar Point Quarry, which is in a Tiffanian fluvial-lacustrine siliciclastic in the Fort Union Formation of Wyoming.
Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore-carnivore
Distribution: found only at Cedar Point Quarry
