Sister taxon: Pholidoctenus serianus
Type specimen: MCSNB 13028, a skeleton. Its type locality is San Pellegrino, which is in a Sevatian carbonate limestone in the Riva di Solto Formation of Italy.
Ecology: suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at San Pellegrino
