Type specimen: NHMUK M45675a–g, a partial skeleton (cranium, mandible, atlas, anterior thoracic vertebra, and three rib fragments). Its type locality is Bu el Haderait, which is in a Lutetian carbonate limestone in the Wadi Thamit Formation of Libya.

Ecology: aquatic herbivore

Distribution: found only at Bu el Haderait
