Sister taxon: Yangtzepus yipingensis

Type specimen: WAM 12.1.1, replica of UQL-DP57-1, a footprint. Its type locality is UQL-DP57 tracksite (PROXY), which is in a Valanginian/Barremian delta plain sandstone in the Broome Sandstone Formation of Australia.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
