Type specimen: UCMP 2460. Its type locality is Lompoc Quarry, which is in a Tortonian basinal (siliciclastic) diatomite in the Monterey Formation of California.

Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Lompoc Quarry
