Type specimen: MUSM 1400, a skull (virtually complete skull, wtih periotics and lower jaw ). Its type locality is Cerro la Bruja, south, which is in a Serravallian marine siltstone in the Pisco Formation of Peru.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Cerro la Bruja, south
