Sister taxon: Knoetschkesuchus langenbergensis

Type specimen: IPFUB Gui Croc 7308, a partial skull. Its type locality is Guimarota, which is in a Kimmeridgian lagoonal coal in the Alcobaça Formation of Portugal.

Ecology: carnivore

Distribution: found only at Guimarota
