Sister taxa: Sciuroides ehrensteinensis, Sciuroides fraasi, Sciuroides quercyi, Sciuroides rissonei, Sciuroides romani, Sciuroides siderolithicus
Type specimen: GRI969, a mandible. Its type locality is Grisolles, which is in a Bartonian mire/swamp limestone in the Calcaire de Saint-Ouen Formation of France.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution:
• Eocene of France (3 collections)
Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
