Sister taxa: Yabeinosaurus robustus, Yabeinosaurus tenuis

Type specimen: IVPP V 15840, a partial skeleton (associated but disarticulated bones on a slab of shale, preserving a right maxilla, a right jugal and ectopterygoid, a right pterygoid, a median premaxilla, bot). Its type locality is Jingangshan, Yixian (IVPP), which is in a Barremian/Aptian lacustrine shale in the Yixian Formation of China.

Ecology:

Distribution: found only at Jingangshan, Yixian (IVPP)
