Type specimen: ZPal MgR-I/14, a partial skeleton (Complete skull with the postcranial skeleton. Distal end of tail, left humerus, a part of anterior autopodium and dorsal elements of the scapulae missing). Its type locality is Khulsan (general) [PMPE], which is in a Campanian/Campanian eolian sandstone/sandstone in the Baruungoyot Formation of Mongolia.
