Type specimen: LGPUT EPN 100-199, a partial skeleton (an almost complete skeleton, missing most of the carapace). Its type locality is Epanomi (=EPN), which is in a Pliocene/Pliocene fluvial claystone in the Gonia Formation of Greece.
