Sister taxon: Phascolotherium bucklandi

Type specimen: NHM M46115, a tooth (left lower molar). Its type locality is Watton Cliff (West Cliff), Dorset, which is in a Bathonian crevasse splay mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Forest Marble Formation of the United Kingdom.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
