Sister taxa: Ronzotherium filholi, Ronzotherium velaunum
Type specimen: PSS 21-15, a mandible. Its type locality is Bayan Tsav Obo (Ergilin Dzo sublocality), which is in an Eocene terrestrial sandstone in the Ergilin Dzo Formation of Mongolia.
