Belongs to Aspidosaurus according to R. R. Schoch and A. R. Milner 2014
Sister taxa: Aspidosaurus aphthitos, Aspidosaurus chiton, Aspidosaurus glascocki, Aspidosaurus novomexicanus
Type specimen: TMM 43531, a skull. Its type locality is Lueders Fm. Locality 2, which is in an Artinskian/Kungurian shallow subtidal conglomerate in the Lueders Formation of Texas.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Lueders Fm. Locality 2
