Sister taxon: Cedrobaena putorius

Type specimen: UMMP 20490, a skeleton (an almost complete skeleton). Its type locality is Near Fort Peck (Peckemys brinkman type locality), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial horizon in the Hell Creek Formation of Montana.
