Type specimen: IVPP V15549, a partial skull (Partial associated skull and mandible). Its type locality is Jianchang, which is in an Aptian lacustrine sandstone/mudstone in the Jiufotang Formation of China.

Ecology: volant piscivore

Distribution: found only at Jianchang
